Nutrient Deficiency Calculator

Micronutrient deficiency is a hidden epidemic. According to the WHO, more than 2 billion people suffer from a deficiency of at least one key vitamin or mineral. At the same time, blood tests often do not reveal subclinical deficiencies — when levels are still normal but already insufficient for optimal body function.

The Nutrient Deficiency Calculator is a free online test based on symptomatic analysis. Answer 12 questions about your symptoms and lifestyle to get an assessment of your risk of vitamin D, B12, omega-3, iron, magnesium, and zinc deficiency.

6 key nutrients we analyze

Vitamin D

Deficiency — in 80% of Ukrainians in winter. Symptoms: depression, frequent colds, bone pain, muscle weakness.

Vitamin B12

Critical for the nervous system and blood formation. Deficiency is common in vegetarians, people over 50, and those taking metformin.

Omega-3

A lack of omega-3 increases the risk of cardiovascular disease and inflammation. Symptoms: dry skin, low mood, joint pain.

Iron

Iron deficiency anemia is the most common deficiency in women of reproductive age. Symptoms: fatigue, paleness, shortness of breath, brittle nails.

Magnesium

Magnesium is involved in over 300 enzymatic reactions. Deficiency: cramps, insomnia, increased anxiety, hypertension.

Zinc

Zinc is a key mineral for immunity, hormonal balance, and reproductive function. Deficiency reduces taste, smell, and wound healing.

Questions about the nutrient deficiency calculator

Does the calculator replace a blood test?

No, the calculator does not replace laboratory diagnostics. It assesses risk based on symptoms and lifestyle factors. If the risk is high, we recommend that you have the appropriate tests done and adjust your supplement program.

Which NSP products can help with vitamin D deficiency?

Nature’s Sunshine offers vitamin D3 with vitamin K2 for better absorption. The standard maintenance dose is 2000–4000 IU per day. Determine the exact dose based on the results of the 25(OH)D test.

How can I improve iron absorption from NSP supplements?

Take iron on an empty stomach or with vitamin C—this increases absorption by 2–3 times. Avoid coffee, tea, and dairy products when taking iron, as they block its absorption.

Is it safe to take several nutrients at the same time?

Most micronutrients can be taken together. Exceptions: iron and calcium compete for absorption — it is better to take them at different times. Zinc and copper are also antagonists at high doses.
