Description
Live Guard NSP for the liver is a powerful complex to support the most important organ of detoxification. The liver processes hundreds of different substances every day: from drug residues to metabolic products, from food additives to environmental toxins. The modern rhythm of life, stress, irrational nutrition and environmental stress require additional nutritional support for this organ.
Liv Gard NSP for the liver – what it is and how it works
The liver performs more than 500 biochemical functions: synthesizes proteins, stores glycogen and fat-soluble vitamins, produces bile for fat digestion, neutralizes toxins and decay products. When the liver is overloaded, all body systems suffer, from the skin to the immune system. Live Guard NSP delivers a targeted complex of nutrients traditionally used to support hepatocytes (liver cells), membrane integrity, bile secretion, and antioxidant defense. The formula combines plant extracts, vitamin-like substances and trace elements that act synergistically.
Composition and active components of Liv Gard
Each tablet (1046 mg) contains a carefully balanced set of ingredients:
- Silybum marianum seed extract 179 mg is a source of silymarin, a mixture of flavolignans. Silymarin is traditionally used in Europe to support hepatocyte membranes, regeneration processes and antioxidant protection. Milk thistle is considered the “gold standard” among herbal hepatoprotectors.
- Dandelion roots (Taraxacum officinale) 151.8 mg — traditionally used to support bile secretion, improve digestion and metabolism. Contains bitter substances, inulin, B vitamins, minerals. In traditional medicine, it is used for functional disorders of the liver and gall bladder.
- Choline (bitartrate) 60 mg is a vitamin-like substance (vitamin B4) that is part of the phospholipids of cell membranes and is a precursor of acetylcholine. Choline participates in lipid metabolism, helps reduce fat accumulation in the liver, supports normal metabolism of methionine and homocysteine.
- Inositol 60 mg is a vitamin-like compound (vitamin B8), also a component of phospholipids. Inositol supports the structural integrity of membranes, participates in the transmission of cellular signals, and has a mild lipotropic effect. Works synergistically with choline to support lipid metabolism.
- Beta-carotene 10,000 IU is provitamin A with antioxidant properties. Necessary for normal cell differentiation, support of immunity and mucous membranes. Beta-carotene is converted into vitamin A as needed by the body, without causing hypervitaminosis.
- Vitamin C 240 mg is a powerful water-soluble antioxidant necessary for neutralization of free radicals, collagen synthesis, support of immune function and tissue regeneration. Helps to increase the bioavailability of iron.
- Iron 5 mg is a trace element that is part of cytochromes P450 (detoxification enzymes in the liver), catalase and other enzymes of the antioxidant system. Necessary for normal oxygen exchange and energy production.
Live Guard NSP liver formula does not contain gluten, lactose, artificial colors or preservatives. 100% vegan product. Each ingredient is selected to provide comprehensive support of liver function.
What research says about silymarin and other components
Silymarin from milk thistle is one of the most studied herbal hepatoprotectors. A systematic review published in PMC (2018) noted that silymarin may contribute to the maintenance of antioxidant status and membrane stability of hepatocytes. The European Medicines Agency (EMA) recognizes the traditional use of milk thistle to support liver function in overload and after exposure to toxic substances. Choline is GRAS (generally recognized as safe) by the FDA, and its role in the prevention of fatty liver disease is supported by data from the US National Institutes of Health. Inositol is traditionally used in complexes to support lipid metabolism. Beta-carotene and vitamin C are recognized as powerful antioxidants that help reduce oxidative stress in tissues.
For whom Live Guard NSP is suitable
This complex can be useful to a wide range of people. First of all, those who feel an increased load on the liver: workers in hazardous industries, residents of environmentally unfavorable regions, people who take medications for a long time or have a history of alcohol consumption. Liv Gard is suitable for those who adhere to programs of detoxification, weight loss, correction of metabolism. It can be recommended to athletes who consume sports nutrition with a high protein content, as well as to people with disorders of lipid metabolism, overweight. Suitable for vegans and people with gluten or lactose intolerance.

How many Liv Gard tablets should be taken at a time?
The recommended dosage is 1 tablet three times a day during meals. This allows you to evenly distribute active substances throughout the day and ensure a stable level of support. Do not exceed the recommended dose without consulting a specialist.
Can Liv Gard be combined with other supplements?
Yes, Live Guard works well with most NSP supplements. The combination with lecithin, chlorophyll, vitamin E and other antioxidants is especially effective. If you take prescription medications or have chronic medical conditions, consult your doctor before combining.
⚠️ Important: Liv Gard is a food supplement, is not a medicine and does not replace a full diet. Not intended for diagnosis, treatment or prevention of any diseases. Before use, consult a doctor, especially if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, taking medications, or have chronic diseases of the liver, gallbladder, or other organs. Individual tolerance may vary. In case of adverse reactions, stop taking and consult a doctor.

Consultant’s Note
LIV-Guard is one of my go-to NSP products for liver support — one I have been recommending for over 20 years. It is particularly relevant for people under ongoing stress: poor diet, long-term medication use or exposure to environmental pollutants. The formula’s strength lies in the synergy of silymarin, choline and inositol: they not only support detoxification pathways but also promote healthy fat metabolism in the liver. I recommend a 1-2 month course twice a year — spring and autumn. For enhanced effect, it combines well with NSP Liquid Chlorophyll.

What is NSP Liv Guard and what are its active components?
NSP Liv Guard is a hepatoprotective formula based on milk thistle (silymarin), dandelion root (taraxacin, inulin), artichoke extract (cynarin), burdock root, and other liver-supportive herbs. It provides comprehensive liver and biliary tract support.
How does NSP Liv Guard protect the liver?
Silymarin stabilises hepatocyte membranes, blocking toxin entry; dandelion stimulates bile formation and secretion; artichoke (cynarin) raises bile acid synthesis and lowers cholesterol; burdock removes toxins via the urinary system.
When is NSP Liv Guard especially recommended?
Indicated for elevated ALT, AST, GGT levels; fatty liver disease; post-antibiotic, NSAID, or statin treatment; regular alcohol consumption; gallstone disease (supportive); and chronic cholecystitis.
How should NSP Liv Guard be taken?
Take 1-2 capsules twice daily with food. Minimum course: 4 weeks; optimal: 8-12 weeks. For prevention during hepatotoxic drug treatment, 1 capsule per day throughout the course.
Can NSP Liv Guard be taken with gallstone disease?
With gallstone disease, use only after consulting a doctor. Dandelion and artichoke stimulate bile flow, which may trigger stone movement. Generally safe with asymptomatic disease and small stones.
Are there contraindications for NSP Liv Guard?
Not recommended with obstructive jaundice. Use with caution during pregnancy. Possible cross-reaction with Asteraceae family allergy (artichoke, dandelion).
How does NSP Liv Guard combine with other NSP products?
For detox: Liv Guard + NSP Liquid Chlorophyll + NSP Alfalfa. For fatty liver: Liv Guard + NSP Lecithin + NSP Omega-3. For biliary support: Liv Guard + NSP Super Antioxidant.
