Description

Perfect Eyes NSP is a comprehensive formula for those who care about the health of their eyes in the modern world of screens, bright light and high eye strain. A unique combination of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and plant extracts supplies the nutrients necessary for the normal functioning of the retina, lens and optic nerve.

Perfect Eyes NSP — what it is and how it works

Eyes are exposed to aggressive factors every day: ultraviolet, blue light from screens, dust, dry air. All this generates free radicals that attack the lipid membranes of cells of the retina and lens. Perfect Eyes NSP supports the natural antioxidant system of the eye, supplies components for the synthesis of the visual pigment rhodopsin and contributes to the normalization of microcirculation in the vessels of the eyeball. The formula is designed to meet the eye’s needs for key nutrients: vitamins A, E, B vitamins, zinc, selenium, taurine and blueberry bioflavonoids.

Composition and active components of Perfect Eyes

Each capsule contains a scientifically based combination of ingredients:

  • Vitamin A (4375 IU) and beta-carotene – retinol is a part of rhodopsin, a light-sensitive pigment of the rods of the retina, which is responsible for twilight vision and adaptation to the dark. Beta-carotene is provitamin A with its own antioxidant activity.
  • Vitamin E (50 IU, d-alpha-tocopherol acetate) is a fat-soluble antioxidant that protects polyunsaturated fatty acids of retinal cell membranes from peroxidation. The stable acetate form ensures high bioavailability.
  • Vitamin B2 (riboflavin, 5 mg) is a cofactor of enzymes involved in the regeneration of glutathione, the main intracellular antioxidant. It is traditionally used to support eye adaptation to changes in lighting.
  • Vitamin B6 (pyridoxine, 5 mg) — participates in the metabolism of amino acids and the synthesis of neurotransmitters. Contributes to maintaining the content of glutathione in the lens.
  • Taurine is a sulfur-containing amino acid whose concentration in the retina is very high. Participates in stabilization of photoreceptor membranes, regulation of calcium metabolism and maintenance of electrical activity of retinal neurons.
  • Zinc (gluconate, 7.5 mg) is necessary for the activity of the carbonic anhydrase enzyme in the retina, the transport of vitamin A from the liver to the eye, and also for the processes of cell regeneration. The gluconate form is well absorbed.
  • Selenium (chelate, 25 μg) is a cofactor of glutathione peroxidase, a key antioxidant enzyme. The chelated form ensures stability and high bioavailability.
  • Copper (gluconate, 1 mg) is a component of superoxide dismutase (SOD), which neutralizes superoxide radicals. A balanced ratio of zinc and copper is important for the proper functioning of antioxidant systems.
  • Chromium (chelate, 50 μg) — supports normal glucose metabolism, which is especially important for retinal microvessels with increased carbohydrate load.
  • Blueberry fruit extract (Vaccinium myrtillus, 48.4 mg) is a source of anthocyanins, which are traditionally used to support night vision and microcirculation in the capillaries of the eye. Anthocyanins have an antioxidant effect and contribute to the restoration of rhodopsin.
  • N-acetyl-L-cysteine (NAC) is a precursor of glutathione, increases the intracellular pool of antioxidants.
  • L-glutathione is a tripeptide, the main intracellular antioxidant, which is especially important for protecting the lens from oxidative stress.
  • Quercetin (Sophora japonica extract) is a bioflavonoid with powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects. Stabilizes cell membranes, strengthens capillary walls and modulates the immune response.

Such a multi-component composition allows Perfect Eyes NSP to act at different levels: from antioxidant protection to supporting the synthesis of visual pigments and microcirculation.

What research says about components for vision

The European Food Safety Agency (EFSA) has confirmed that vitamin A contributes to the maintenance of normal vision and zinc contributes to the normal metabolism of vitamin A and the maintenance of vision. Riboflavin (B2) is also officially recognized as important for maintaining normal vision. Studies of blueberry anthocyanins show that they may help improve night vision and reduce eye fatigue during prolonged screen time (PubMed, 2012). Taurine is found in high concentrations in the retina, and its deficiency is associated with impaired photoreceptor function (Wikipedia: Taurine). Quercetin in in vitro studies demonstrates the ability to protect retinal cells from oxidative stress. Perfect Eyes NSP is not a medicine, but provides nutrients traditionally used to support eye health.

Who is Perfect Eyes NSP suitable for

This complex will be useful for those who work at the computer or with documents every day, students and schoolchildren during the period of study, drivers (especially during night trips), older people who want to maintain visual function, as well as anyone who experiences dryness, eye fatigue or discomfort in bright light. Perfect Eyes NSP is suitable for regular use as part of complex body support, especially with increased oxidative stress.

Consultant’s Comment

Eyes are exposed daily to blue light, UV radiation and oxidative stress — and lutein with zeaxanthin are the primary natural shield for the macula. NSP Perfect Eyes delivers these carotenoids together with bilberry extract and zinc — nutrients studied in the landmark AREDS2 trial (n=4,203).

As an NSP consultant with 25+ years of experience, I recommend taking with a fat-containing meal for best absorption of the fat-soluble carotenoids. Recommended with: NSP Omega-3 and Beta-Carotene for comprehensive eye protection.
